This week we begin our annual Spring Kinship season on the podcast with a piece about Beech trees, ICE times, the lie of gender binaries, the love of grandmothers, and where to whisper your curses. We were lucky enough to get permission from Cosmo Sheldrake to use the song Beech in this episode, and it rings in my head at all times now thinking of the wind and the tree giving each other speech, and how we've got to reach for each other as storms rise. We need kin more than ever now, so here is our medicine for calling them in.

Invitations
New Moon in Aries - Building A Pillow Fort
Sunday, Mar 30, 8:00 – 9:30 PM EDT
"New Moon Magic’s Aries chapter (Needles and Knives) talks about the stitch. So for this New Moon we invite you to join us in sewing together a pillow fort - to imagine and create a protective structure that is soft, a spell that will echo this tender magic into the world." Hosted by Amy + Risa
Witch and Stitch (bitching optional)
Saturday, Apr 5, 4:00 – 5:30 PM EDT
"Let's get crafty witches! This will be a casual space to share and to be witnessed. I am always so inspired by the Witches in this Coven and I would LOVE to see what creations you are working on and hear your ideas. I would also like to open up a discussion about ways we use art in our Witchcraft and spellwork practices." Hosted by Lori
First Sundays Tarot Practice
Sunday, Apr 6, 1:00 – 2:00 PM EDT
"Come to practice reading tarot with your covenmates. All learners are welcome. No experience necessary." Hosted by Heather
Circle for Meeting New Witch Friends
Wednesday, Apr 9, 8:30 – 10:00 PM
"I'll open the circle and we'll come up with some seed questions together and then use the Zoom breakout rooms option to meet in small groups, changing every 20 minutes or so." Hosted by Risa
Until next time, be brave, find your kin,
and make good trouble!
