This week we are feeling the edge of big changes coming, and so we're calling up reminders of the power in our circles.
On the podcast this week, Amy tells the story of a feminist art collective from 1980s Mexico.
I like to include the story of a collective in each of the fall seasons of the Missing Witches podcast. So far I’ve written about WITCH (women’s international terrorist conspiracy from hell), and the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence… I like to include stories of collectives to encourage us all to collaborate, find like-minded Witches with common goals to help us reach beyond what we can do on our own, to break down the lie of individualism, and include as our role models Witches who work together.
Amy also sits down with artist witch practitioners to celebrate Samhain, the halfway point between the autumn equinox and winter solstice, the witches' new year. Two Gorgons and a Lunar Priestess join us on the podcast: Maria Molteni, Vin Caponigro, and Laura Campagna to talk about Samhain energy, the power of collaboration, art as spirituality, art as politics, public art, public ritual, rewriting prayers, heirloom magic, tearing down monuments, and how to conjure Medusa consciousness.
Witches, this is going to be a wild week, and no matter what happens we will need each other. All our collectives and circles and communities and friendships form the fabric that will get us through.
Fortunately, though this week brings major global shifts, it is also full of chances to stay together...

New Moon in Scorpio: Circles
Sunday, Nov 3, 4:00 – 5:30 PM EST
Circles are powerful, and they can be simple. Book clubs, craft circles, volunteer groups, affinity groups, online covens ;) we see these as layers of overlapping circles, and the more we can learn from them, and stitch them together, the more we can gather our powers and care for each other in these times of radical crisis and isolation.
So please, for this monthly full coven gathering, bring your circle wisdom. What circles have you been a part of? What was good and healthy in them? What didn't work? What circles do you dream of?

Writing Circle - Sharing and Workshop
Wednesday, Nov 6, 7:00 – 8:00 PM EST
As always, bring any writing or any ideas for a piece you'd like to share and/or workshop with the group! For ease of sharing, please type or copy your piece into a google doc and set sharing settings to "anyone with link" so everyone can follow along 📝
As with previous circles, we'll go around the circle introducing ourselves to warm up the space and our voices. After intros, anyone who wants to share a piece is welcome to! If you don't want feedback but just want to share your words, that is also welcome 🙌
If you want to join as an audience member and don't have a piece to bring, you are still absolutely welcome! But the more voices and work we get to hear, the better! Be brave with us! We would love to hear what you're working on ✨
Merch Spotlight
We were delighted to discover by digging into our data that our We Are All Connected collection is the best-selling work on our new merch site. Amy designed this image to root us in a planetary perspective, to remind us and anyone who sees us wearing this sigil that individualism is a lie. This image is a rejection of loneliness and a calling in of all our circles of kin, and it feels more relevant now than ever. Check out the We Are All Connected crewneck, organic tee, tank top and other designs at the Missing Witches Merch Shop. Thanks for your support!
Let's remember we're connected, let's be together in these dark cold days of the year, and always. Let's nurture the great world-building spell that is our hope, and lend support to our conjuring of more just tomorrows.
Hope locates itself in the premises that we don’t know what will happen and that in the spaciousness of uncertainty is room to act. When you recognize uncertainty, you recognize that you may be able to influence the outcomes–you alone or you in concert with a few dozen or several million others. Hope is an embrace of the unknown and knowable, a alternative to the certainty of both optimists and pessimists.
