This week Amy takes us pathfinding the mystery with her episodes dedicated to Belief: the story of activist, mystic, philosopher Simone Weil and a wide-ranging conversation with iconic researcher and writer Lilith Dorsey.

Risa is floating on the chemo wave, and it's a weird dragging kind of high. It requires a letting go, la lachez-prise as they say here in Quebec.

The song that keeps coming up is Iris Dement's Let The Mystery Be:

Some say they're going to a place called glory
And I ain't saying it ain't a fact
But I've heard that I'm on the road to purgatory
And I don't like the sound of that
I believe in love and I live my life accordingly
But I choose to let the mystery be

Here's to believing in love, living life accordingly, and la lachez-prise.

New on the Podcast

"Simone wrote, “Attention is the rarest and purest form of generosity.”  So let’s pay attention to Simone today, in this space between our ears, bestow upon her story that rare and pure form of generosity that is the currency of modernity.  Today, let’s give her our attention.

This mystic philosopher lived her life as an offering to the suffering of others, an embodiment of radical compassion."

"I grew up in New York city. So it was limelight and all of this kind of like insane club kid scene, you know, so that was definitely more fun than staying at home. I lived with my grandparents, you know, so. That was like, the choice, you know, go to a converted church with four stories worth of music and disco and partying and like epic everything or stay home with my, you know, cranky drunk grandparents."

...

"I love Jodorovsky... I met the maestro, you know, he shook my hand and it was amazing... I love this Jodorowsky concept of the shock value and in order to transform and transcend our normal existence.
We have to have that shocking thing, you know?"

Official Coven Event: New Moon in Scorpio: Circles

Sunday, Nov 3, 4:00 PM - 05:30 PM EST

That's 1pm Pacific, 3pm CT, 8pm UTC, 6:30AM ACDT!

Hosted by Amy + Risa: "Our Scorpio chapter in New Moon Magic is dedicated to the Circle and its power, so it feels right to try out a different day and time for our monthly coven gatherings, to see if more folks from different time zones can join us and strengthen our circle!

Please help us spread the word if you know covenmates in different time zones who haven't been able to attend in the past!

Circles are powerful, and they can be simple. Book clubs, craft circles, volunteer groups, affinity groups, online covens ;) we see these as layers of overlapping circles, and the more we can learn from them, and stitch them together, the more we can gather our powers and care for each other in these times of radical crisis and isolation.

So please, bring your circle wisdom. What circles have you been a part of? What was good and healthy in them? What didn't work? What circles do you dream of?

Maybe folks will learn about a circle they want to join or start, perhaps we'll learn things we want to implement in our circles here.

No matter what, we will be in circle together in Scorpio season, so let's be cozy and gentle with ourselves and each other."
