Our Reparations Project is about aiming community-supported repair toward the wound of colonial violence.
Each May we donate all of our own Missing Witches community earnings to the Native Women’s Shelter of Montreal, and we organize a community fundraiser that generates a wave of donations to Indigenous-led non-profits all over the world.
In 2025 we gave out 225 prizes from 20 partners, to approximately 150 different donors, who supported 92 different orgs!
So far, in total, we’ve raised almost $50,000 for Indigenous-led support organizations.
Our first year we raised $200.
We remind ourselves all the time: just start somewhere.
In 2025 we raised over $13000, $3871 of which went directly to the Native Women's Shelter of Montreal.
Here's how it works:
We gather prizes throughout the month of April — we love to spotlight readings, classes, artists, poets and more — we spotlight each prize on the podcast and on social media and everywhere!
Meanwhile, folks who want to participate in the fundraiser and snag an entry in the raffle make a donation of ten dollars or more to the Native Women’s Shelter of Montreal, or their local indigenous people’s support organization.
Then take a screenshot of the receipt and email it to missingwitches@gmail.com with the subject line DONATION, plus the amount of your donation.
The amount is important because for every $10, you get one entry into the draw for incredible prizes. So if you donate $20, you’ll be entered twice, for $50, you’ll get five entries, and so on.
